Focusing on the two themes of dream-memory and the tendency towards death, this essay aims to detect in Graf’s Rime della Selva a narrative and interior trajectory that, thanks to the evocative force of the wood, manages to overcome definitively past experience through the gradual recovery and the ironic and conscious reworking of the latter.

Seguendo le due direttrici tematiche del sogno-ricordo e della tensione alla morte, il saggio si propone di individuare nelle Rime della Selva una parabola interiore che, grazie alla forza evocatrice della selva, giunge al definitivo superamento delle esperienze passate, attraverso il progressivo recupero e la rielaborazione ironica e consapevole delle stesse.
