Resumen de As formas de tratamento nominais mulher e minha filha no falar de Fortaleza

  Com base na Sociolinguística Variacionista e na Teoria da Semântica do Poder e da Solidariedade, abordamos o uso variável das formas de tratamento nominais mulher vs. minha filha no falar popular de Fortaleza. Intentamos verificar qual a variante mais produtiva e analisar a influência de fatores linguísticos e/ou extralinguísticos sobre esse fenômeno. Os dados indicam que a forma mulher tende a ser mais usada na amostra deste estudo. De igual modo, vemos que a variante mulher é favorecida exclusivamente por fatores extralinguísticos, a saber: faixa etária (falantes com 15-25 anos) e escolaridade (falantes com 5-8 anos de escolarização), nessa mesma ordem de relevância.

  Based on the Variationist Sociolinguistics and on the Semantics’ Theory of Power and Solidarity, we analyze the variable use of the treatment forms mulher vs.

  minha filha on the popular speech of Fortaleza. Our aim is to verify which variant is more productive and to analyze the influence of linguistic and/or extralinguistic factors about this phenomenon. The data indicate that the treatment form mulher tends to get more used in the sample analyzed. The same way, we see that the variant mulher is favorited exclusively by extralinguistic factors, such as: age (speaker with 15-25 years) and education (speakers with 5-8 years of education), in this order of relevance.
