  • A. Carpentier's work let us think about the role played by classical tradition during the Eighteenth Century, main moment in the reflection about art and thought of humankind in general. "Concierto Barroco" presents America as the transcultural stage and Europe as the stage of satire. "El Amo" and "el negro Filomeno" justify the Aristotle's catharsis and defend the literature in which truth is essential, without fractures between reality and what is related.
