  La investigación aborda una de las manifestaciones del sistema de identificación e iniciación de potencialidades deportivas relacionadas con la formación del deportista y su continuidad. La indagación se sustentó a partir de la caracterización de la población realizada por el Proyecto I+D “Potencialidades Deportiva”, del CEICADM en la Facultad de Cultura Física de Granma, que se planteó como objetivo determinar los Indicadores físicos y antropométricos para la identificación e iniciación de los Vallistas en la EIDE “Pedro Batista Fonseca” desde la comunidad. En la investigación se tuvo en cuenta un nuevo sistema organizativo metodológico, que conlleva a una orientación más precisa del escolar hacia el deporte en el que presente las mejores aptitudes.

  The investigation approaches one of the manifestations in the system of sport identification and initiation potentialities related with the sportsman's formation and its continuity. The inquiry was sustained starting from the population's characterization carried out by the R+D  Project "Sport Potentialities", of the CEICADM at the Faculty of Physical Culture from  Granma province that set out  as the objective to determine the physical indicators and anthropometrical for the identification and initiation of the hurdlers  at the EIDE “Pedro Batista Fonseca”  from the community. In the investigation it was kept in mind a new methodological organizational system that entail the schoolchildren's more precise orientation toward the sport in which they present best aptitudes.
