    Jordi Galceran, dramaturgo actual, destaca tanto por su éxito en taquilla como por su calidad literaria. En este artículo se parte del análisis de tres de sus obras (Burundanga, El crédito y El método Grönholm) fijándonos en la sátira social, las estrategias del humor y la deconstrucción de los sistemas de poder a través de la inversión del rol de los personajes manipuladores. Con ello, se pretende ahondar en su perspectiva de la realidad del siglo XXI y diferenciar los límites entre un teatro comercial y de altura literaria.

    Playwright Jordi Galceran stands out not only for being successful at the box office, but also for his literary quality. In this analysis of three plays, namely Burundanga, The Credit and The Grönholm Method, the focus is set on social satire, humour strategies and how the power structures are deconstructed in the role reversal undertaken by manipulative characters. The aim of this analysis is to try to get further information on Galceran’s perspective on 21st century reality and to distinguish the borders between comercial and literary merit theatre.
