Este artículo analiza los conflictos señoriales del siglo XV en Galicia, cuyos estudios se han visto relegados por una mayor atención puesta sobre los enfrentamientos de más repercusión social, como las Revueltas Irmandiñas o las disputas dinásticas. Para ello seguiremos las luchas habidas entre los Sotomayor y los Sarmiento a través de las fuentes. Con su estudio trataremos de conocer sus motivaciones, capacidades, lealtades y traiciones y desterrar ideas por largo tiempo establecidas.

This article analyses the lord’s conflicts in the 15th century in Galicia, whose studies have been relegated by the focus on the clashes of more social repercussion like the Irmandiño War, or the dynastic disputes. To do this, we will follow the struggles gotten between Sarmiento and Sotomayor through the sources. With this study we will try to show their motivations, capabilities, loyalties and betrayals, and to dispel ideas taken for granted for a long time.
