  • Resumen
    • When dealing with several sound insulation ratings, results are quite different as they depend on algorithm variables. Dn, DnT, and R´ values do not converge usually although they are all transmission lost estimators. Firstly, it is assessed how new ISO 16283-1 standard influences the difference among ratings versus previous ISO 140-4, when testing both possible ways at a University classroom. Besides, those pressure procedures are compared with one based on vibration measurements, Solidnoise™. Both methods are analysed and a more sustainable use proposal is suggested.
