Resumen de EPA Awards Climate Change Air Quality Grants

Julie A. Jacob

  • The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $8.5 million to 12 universities across the country that are conducting research on how to protect air quality from climate change–associated effects (http://1.usa.gov/1STSDCm).

“The research funded by these grants will improve our understanding of how climate change is impacting our air and our health,” said Thomas A. Burke, PhD, the EPA’s office of research and development’s deputy assistant administrator in a statement. “By examining the relationship between air quality and climate change, this research will help better protect human health and the environment.”
