  Melodrama hospitalario, en general bien documentado desde el punto de vista médico. La película es lo suficientemente larga (135 minutos) como para dar tiempo para repasar numerosos aspectos relacionados con la formación médica y el ejercicio profesional. Todo ello se enmarca dentro de las aspiraciones de un ambicioso estudiante y después médico general que desea la “infalibilidad” y finamente se da cuenta de forma dolorosa de que es falible. De forma adicional se muestran las relaciones humanas de este estudiante y médico (matrimonio, amistad, etc.). Según esta cinta, el buen médico sería aquel que mezcla adecuadamente cerebro y corazón.

  Melodrama based on hospital life, well documented from the medical point of view. The movie is long enough (135 minutes) as to give time to review numerous aspects related with medical training and professional practice. Everything is framed on the aspirations of an ambitious student and later general physician, that wants the ";infallibility";, althoughat the end he realizes in a painful way that he is fallible. In an additional way, the student and physician's human relationships are shown (marriage, friendship, etc.). According to this film, the good physician is the one that is capable of mixing knowledge and feelings appropriately.
