    Para Michel de Certeau el demonio ha sido, históricamente, el resultado de una demonización del otro, realizada por una determinada institución. Pero él trata de hacer ver cómo el demonio se oculta en la podredumbre de toda institución en la que rige el totalitarismo de la identidad, ya sea ésta política o religiosa.

    For Michel de Certeau, the Devil has been historically the result of the demonization of the other, performed by certain institutions. Certeau strives to demonstrate the ways in which the Devil is hidden in the corruption of all institutions in which a totalitarianism of identity reigns, whether it be political or religious.
