Resumen de Cinema e percepção do envelhecimento

  This is an experience report of the extension activity entitled Cinedebate on Gerontology developed at the Center for Studies of the Elderly, at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, since the year 2000.

  The four-semester course aims to foster the social integration of people through the discussion of movies, training the global perception of the plot, accustoming them to the criticism through the formulation of personal positions on issues about aging and their own old age. This research is presented, as an educational technology, to work the cultural gerontology. Such technology is here understood, in the sense of Merhy, as a living work that includes the knowledge that organize the human actions. It is observed that the students get a more enlightened perception of the aging process; review of the living process, learning coexistence, learning how to cope with an unexpected situation, understanding the constant search for the meaning of life. Among various teaching experiences, the Cinedebate technology seems to motivate the elderly because the movies were and are part of their daily lives, enabling its operation as an educational resource.

  In addition, it is set up in an environment of communication and entertainment, favoring close relations with the remembrance of a historical time in which the movie was shot. It is possible to conclude that the Cinedebate in Gerontology is a useful educational technology in the teaching and learning process about aging, for senior students.

  Trata-se de um relato de experiência da atividade de extensão intitulada Cinedebate em Gerontologia, desenvolvida no Núcleo de Estudos da Terceira Idade da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, desde 2000. O curso, com duração de quatro semestres, tem o objetivo de propiciar a integração social de pessoas por meio da discussão de filmes, treinando a percepção global do enredo, habituando-as à crítica através da formulação de posições pessoais sobre questões do envelhecimento e da própria velhice. Apresenta-se como uma tecnologia educativa para trabalhar a gerontocultura. Tal tecnologia aqui é entendida na acepção de Merhy como um trabalho vivo, o qual inclui os saberes que organizam as ações humanas. Observa-se que os alunos apresentam percepção mais esclarecida do processo do viver envelhecendo; revisão do processo de viver; aprendizagem de convivência; aprendizagem do enfrentamento do inesperado; compreensão da busca constante do sentido de vida. Entre as várias experiências de ensino, a tecnologia do Cinedebate parece motivar os idosos, pois o cinema fez e faz parte do dia a dia deles, viabilizando seu funcionamento como recurso educativo. Além disso, configura-se em um meio de comunicação e de lazer, favorecendo as estreitas relações de rememoração com o tempo histórico em que o filme foi rodado. Conclui-se inferindo que o Cinedebate em Gerontologia é uma tecnologia educativa útil no processo de ensino e aprendizagem sobre o envelhecimento ao alunado idoso
