    SEPI DESARROLLO EMPRESARIAL (SEPIDES), empresa propiedad 100% de la Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI), inició su actividad financiera en noviembre de 2002, con el objetivo prioritario de fomentar el desarrollo del tejido productivo en sectores y zonas de especial interés para el Gobierno y para SEPI mediante la inversión en iniciativas empresariales, viables técnica y económicamente y que generen riqueza y puestos de trabajo, convirtiéndose así en la empresa por la que actualmente se canalizan las inversiones financieras de SEPI.

    En el año 2011 se realizó la fusión por absorción de la empresa INFOINVEST y sus filiales, conforme al Acuerdo de Consejo de Ministros de 30 de abril de 2010, incorporando así a su actividad de promoción empresarial la actividad de promoción inmobiliaria.

    Las operaciones financieras de SEPIDES se realizan participando en el capital de las empresas, de forma temporal y minoritaria, pudiendo diferenciarse cuatro maneras de financiación, en función de cual sea el origen de los fondos: Fondos de capital riesgo, Sociedades de desarrollo regional, Gestión de Fondos Públicos, y Financiación directa de SEPIDES.

    Para la administración y gestión de los fondos de capital riesgo y de activos de sociedades de capital riesgo, SEPIDES constituyó en 2005 SEPIDES GESTIÓN, S.G.E.I.C., S.A, 100% capital de SEPIDES.

    SEPI DESARROLLO EMPRESARIAL (SEPIDES), is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI); it began its financial activity in November 2002, with the aim of promoting the development of the economic activity in sectors and areas of special interest for both the Government and SEPI by investing in business sustainable initiatives, both technically and economically, with a view to generate wealth and jobs. SEPI financial investments are currently channeled through SEPIDES.

    In the year 2011, in accordance with the agreement of Council of Ministers of April 30, 2010, SEPIDES merged with INFOINVEST and its affiliates, integrating as a result of this, some real estate promoting activities. SEPIDES financial operations involve temporary and minority investments which may adopt different types depending of the origin of the funds, i.e., Venture capital funds, Regional development companies, Public funds management, and SEPIDES direct financing.

    For the administration and management of venture capital funds and venture capital assets, SEPIDES founded in 2005 SEPIDES GESTION, S.G.E.I.C., S.A, a venture capital management company fully owned by SEPIDES.
