Resumen de As relações retóricas e a negociação de faces em debate eleitoral

This paper consider that the relationships between the information of the text have important role in the negotiation of reciprocal images. To verify the relevance of this hypothesis, I combined the Rhetorical Structure of Theory (RST) and the theory of faces of Goffman. This approach has enabled the study of a debate. Confirming the hypothesis, the analysis revealed that the rhetorical relations (evidence, background, sequence, elaboration, etc) are important resources with which political opponents make the negotiation of faces.

Este trabalho parte da hipótese de que as relações que se estabelecem entre as informações do texto exercem papel importante na negociação de imagens recíprocas.
Para verificar a pertinência dessa hipótese, aproximei a Teoria da Estrutura Retórica (RST) e a teoria de faces de Goffman. Essa aproximação possibilitou o estudo de um exemplar do gênero debate eleitoral. Confirmando a hipótese, a análise revelou que as relações retóricas (evidência, preparação, sequência, elaboração, etc) constituem recursos fundamentais com que os adversários políticos fazem a negociação de faces.
