    A partir de Carl Geiser reconstruimos la suerte de los brigadistas internacionales capturados por las fuerzas fascistas, esta al principio era de muerte segura para suavizarse a mediados de guerra, cuando si no eras oficial todavía podías sobrevivir. Passada la ofensiva del Ebro, estos supervivientes podrán salir en la medida de lo possible, a pesar que no todos encontrarán la manera o la possibilidad de salir, acabando incluso en campos nazis.
