Los adjetivos de inmediatez temporal en español y sus equivalentes en polaco

    El concepto de INMEDIATEZ se puede referir a una relación de carácter espacial o temporal. Desde el punto de vista temporal, se trata de la expresión de posterioridad en relación con un evento muy cercano. Es difícil describir precisamente las entidades que expresan la inmediatez temporal. Muy a menudo, los diccionarios no diferencian los usos que se refieren a ambos tipos de inmediatez. Para establecerlos, aprovechamos la teoría de las clases de objetos. La tarea consiste en destacar todos los tipos de contextos posibles en los que se usan los adjetivos estudiados. En el estudio se presentan las propiedades semánticas y sintácticas de los adjetivos inmediato e inminente, lo que se puede considerar como una continuación del análisis de los adjetivos próximo y cercano ya presentado antes. El adjetivo inmediato tiene usos de carácter temporal y espacial. Los usos de carácter temporal indican una relación entre dos elementos abstractos. Siempre cuando la segunda posición argumental no esté saturada, el adjetivo se refiere directamente al momento relatado, aquel del que se habla, o a un evento sucedido en el momento relatado. Algunos de los usos de este adjetivo indican la anterioridad. El adjetivo inminente carece de usos espaciales y su polisemia es mucho menos compleja. Los resultados finales de los análisis permitirán entender mejor el funcionamiento de estos adjetivos, podrían incorporarse también a sistemas de traducción automática.

    The concept of IMMEDIACY can refer to a relationship of spatial or temporal character. From the temporal point of view, it is the expression of a very close posteriority of an event. It is hard to identify precisely the entities that express the temporal immediacy. Dictionaries very often do not differentiate the uses referring to either type of immediacy. In this paper the proposed classification is based on the the theory of classes of objects and all kinds of possible contexts in which the adjectives are used are studied. The paper discusses the semantic and syntactic properties of two Spanish adjectives: inmediato and inminente, following a previous analysis of the adjectives próximo and cercano. The adjective immediato has both temporal and spatial uses. In its temporal uses it indicates a relationship between two abstract elements. Whenever its second argument position is not saturated, it refers directly to the reported moment or an event happening in the reported moment. Some of the uses indicate anteriority. The adjective inminente lacks spatial uses its polysemy is far less complex. The final results of the analysis can contribute to better understand work these adjectives. They could also be incorporated in machine translation systems.
