    Una de las familias de músicos más notables de todo el siglo XVIII español fue sin duda la apellidada “Nebra”. Sobre sus componentes se ha escrito abundamnte, aumentando en los últimos años vertiginosamente la producción al respecto, merced a las últimas investigaciones y, sobre todo, a las recientes grabaciones discográficas, especialmente con obras del más célebre integrante de la saga familiar activo en la corte, José de Nebra Blasco, las cuales han comenzado a dar a conocer una música de enorme calidad, a la altura de la mejor música escrita durante todo el barroco europeo. La vinculación familiar con la ciudad de Cuenca es asimismo conocida, aunque no tanto sus complejas interconexiones familiares -que ahora comenzamos a estudiar-, o su relación con la mejor literatura musical internacional del momento. Este artículo pretende llamar la atención sobre la necesidad de aproximar la investigación musicológica de ámbito panhispánico al territorio americano, donde se cultivó un patrimonio sonoro común

    In the Spanish world of the 18th century, one of the families of musicians more notorious was, with no doubt, those of the musicians surnamed “Nebra”. On them, much has been written, increasing in recent years very quickly the production in this regard, thanks to the new advances in the latest research and, above all, to recent recordings. All of this has been especially true with the works of the most famous member of the family, active in the Spanish Court, Jose de Nebra. As a result, have begun to publicize a type of music of inmense quality, with the same level of the best music written during the entire European baroque. Family’s link with the city of Cuenca is also known, although not so much the complex interconnections of the family between them -that we are begining now to explore-, or their relationship with the best international on music of the time.
