    Con este trabajo pretendemos mostrar brevemente cómo el término indigenismo fue usado desde la plataforma imperial española a lo largo del siglo XIX, y en España fundamentalmente, para denominar una serie de rasgos de carácter folclórico aplicados a diversas artes nacionales.

    Por otra parte, se trata de mostrar que si el indigenismo orbitaba en torno a cuestiones relativas a las artes, será alrededor de la política donde predominen otros ismos que cubrirán la denominación nacional. No será en nombre del indigenismo por el que México movilizará a sus hombres frente a las amenazas exteriores, sino a través del llamado al mexicanismo

    The intend of this work is to briefly show how the term «indigenismo» was used by the Spanish Imperial Extent in the 19th Century, and in Spain mainly to name a series of folkloric traces applied to diverse national arts.

    On the other hand, it is a question of showing that if «indigenismo» orbited around questions related to arts, it will be around Policy that other «ismos» predominate. These will cover the national denomination. It will not be in the name of indigenismo by which Mexico will mobilize its men to face external threats, but through the appeal to Mexicanism.the territorial dominions of one and the other philosophical formation, regardless of whether they have common «places».
