The Atarazanas of Seville constituted the main arsenal where the galleys of the kings of Castile were built and stored. Those ships participated actively in the disputes that took place with Moslem at the Straits of Gibraltar, together with those internal European struggles such as the Hundred Years’ War. In the present manuscript a list with the persons in charge of the arsenal is published for the first time. Furthermore, their works, assignments and interrelationships with other persons with different responsibilities in the Castile navy are described.
