    In diesen Beitrag wird der Wegfall von ägyptischem ,,d'' im Zentrum der Betrachtung stehen. Die Erscheinung ist in der Vergangenheit kontrovers diskutiert worden. Die Befürworter des phänomens können sich auf eine Handvoll sicherer Belege stützen. Die nachstehenden Ausführungen sind dennoch nur als bloßer Versuch zu werten. In der Gesamtsumme konnten 21 Beispiele zusammengetragen werden. Das Material zeigt, dass der Wegfall an jeder beliebigen Stelle im Wort auftritt. Der zeitliche Rahmen hat sich vom Mittleren Reich bis in die Spätzeit erstreckt

    The considerations in this contribution are centered around the loss of the Egyptian "d". The phenomenon has been discussed with some controversy in the past. Proponents are able to support their argument by a handfull of certain confirmations. Nevertheless, the following discussion should be considered preliminary. In total, 21 examples could be gathered. The material shows that the loss can occur at any arbitrary place in a word. The temporal frame had extended from the Middle Kingdom to the Late Period
