It brings together about twenty taxa (eighteen of specific rank and two of sub-specific rank) of two possibly different origins, some distributed by the Centre and the West of the Iberian Peninsula (largely the species grouped by Escalera in its Section Punctulatae), the others distributed in the North of Africa over a vast territory going from the Moroccan east to Egypt Alphasida (Glabrasida) servillei nitidicollis Reiter, 1917, recovers his specific rank as Alphasida (Glabrasida) nitidicollis Reitter, stat. rec. Lectotypus of Asida (Glabrasida) breuiliana (Escalera, 1923), of Asida (Glabrasida) granipunctipennis (Escalera, 1923), of Asida (Glabrasida) lacunosa (Escalera, 1923) and Asida (Glabrasida) lucens (Escalera, 1923) are designated.
