    In Great Poland, on the island of Lake Lednika, there is a castrum inside of which remain the ruins of a centred building adjoining a long edifice. Next this place, there was a church with an only nave and a squarred choir. During the period of excavations between 1987 and 1990, two baptismal piscines were discovered inside the squarred edifice. The discoverers have concluded that the centred chapel was originally a baptistry linked to the episcopal palace and that the three edifices — church, baptistry and episcopal palace — might have formed an episcopal group built in the second half of the Xth century. The baptistry as well as the episcopal group let see a mediterranean inspiration.

    En Grande-Pologne, sur l'île du lac Lednica, s'élève un castrum à l'intérieur duquel subsistent les ruines d'un bâtiment centré attenant à un édifice allongé. Non loin de cet endroit, était autrefois érigée une église à nef unique et chœur carré. Au cours des fouilles effectuées entre 1987 et 1990 dans l'aire des ruines, on a découvert deux piscines baptismales à l'intérieur du bâtiment centré. Les découvreurs en ont conclu que la chapelle centrée était primitivement un baptistère lié au palais épiscopal et que les trois bâtiments — église, baptistère et palais épiscopal — avaient dû former un groupe épiscopal élevé dans la seconde moitié du Xe s. Tant le baptistère que le groupe épiscopal laissent voir une inspiration méditerranénne.
