Operaciones enunciativas de subjetivación en el discurso de la cartografía artística actual como estrategia de dialogicidad y contra-conducta

    La cartografía, como estudio y elaboración de mapas geográficos y territoriales, no aparece como ciencia hasta el siglo XIX. Fue entonces que la representación del mundo comenzó a jugar un papel retórico para la configuración del poder en una imagen productora de «realidad espacial». Situarnos desde ahora en las consideraciones políticas que se derivaron de este recurso de la Modernidad en Occidente —y del proyecto de expansión colonial que le es inherente— permite entender a la cartografía como «disciplina» y al mapa como «dispositivo». En el marco de estas problemáticas, en la presente investigación se abordan una serie de prácticas artísticas latinoamericanas actuales que crean unidades originales de significar el «territorio» mediante la estrategia de representar el deseo y la memoria individual. Se sostiene que estas prácticas abrirían el «diálogo» por la «subjetivación» a partir de la operación enunciativa de representar al espacio desde la propia vivencia, el deseo y la memoria individual, con el objeto de constituirse como «contra-conductas». De esta forma, el presente trabajo pretende el objetivo máximo de sumar un nuevo ángulo analítico de comprensión de la Contemporaneidad que, desde la semiótica, invite a repensar el rol activo del enunciador en el discurso cartográfico y, desde un pensamiento crítico, invite a repensar el rol político de las prácticas artísticas latinoamericanas actuales.

    Cartography, as study and development of geographic and territorial maps, does not appear as a science until the nineteenth century. It was then that the representation of the world began playing a rhetorical role in the configuration of power in an image producing "spatial reality." Positioning ourselves from now on in the political considerations derived from this resource of modernity in the West —and the inherent colonial expansion project— allows us to understand cartography as a «discipline» and the map as a «device». In the context of these problems, the present research addressesa number of current Latin American artistic practices that create original units for meaning «territory» through the strategy of representing desire and individual memory. It is argued that these artistic practices could open the «dialogism» by «subjetivation» from the enunciative operation of representing space from one´s own experience, desire and individual memory, in order to be constituted as «counter-conduct». Thus, this paper aims the ultimate goal of adding a new analytical angle of understanding contemporaneity that, from semiotics, invites to rethink the active role of the enunciator in the cartographic discourse and, form critical thinking, invites to rethink the political role of the current Latin American artistic practices.
