  • Resumen
    • This article presents the conclusions reached after a long term collective research conducted by Stéphanie Benson, Nelly Labère and Gilles Mangard concerning the name of the author of Fifteen Joys of Marriage, an anonymous text written in Middle French and considered by literary historians as a »masterpiece of French literature and prose from the end of the Middle Ages«. Going back over the hypotheses of eminent philologists from the end of the 19th century until the present day, this article is a hommage to the expert work written on the final charade containing the name of the author, and analyses the debates held within the scientific community. The charade brings to light not only the author’s name but the important philological and historical work accomplished. However, the enquiry does not stop at this, but presents the latest results of important philological research concerning the author of Fifteen Joys of Marriage.
