    El objetivo de este estudio es analizar el papel del greenkeeper dentro de los campos de golf, en función de la revisión de los trabajos científicos publicados en una base de datos científica. De esta forma se revisan y analizan los artículos relacionados con el deporte del golf y de manera particular, con la figura del greenkeeper. Se identifican interesantes elementos esenciales a tener en cuenta sobre la figura del greenkeeper o encargado de mantenimiento del campo de golf. Esta revisión se ha realizado en tres periodos temporales en la base de datos científica Scopus, entre diciembre de 2012 y julio de 2014, otra entre septiembre y diciembre de 2014 y una tercera revisión entre septiembre de 2015 y marzo de 2016, sin encontrar cambios significativos. La información encontrada se ha clasificado en seis apartados, siendo los más relevantes los relacionados con el cuidado de los greens y las enfermedades que afectan a los campos de golf. Los grenkeepers deben buscar nuevas vías de explotación para que los campos de golf estén en perfectas condiciones y además sean rentables para la organización deportiva en general.

    The objective of this study is to analyze the role of the greenkeeper within the golf courses, based on the information published about their work. This work aims to analyze the golf academic texts and research and, in particular focus in the figure of the greenkeeper. We identify interesting elements to take into account on the greenkeeper or maintainer of the golf course. This review has been made in three phases in the Scopus database, between December 2012 and July 2014, the second review between September 2014 and December 2014 and the last one between September 2015 and March 2016, without significant changes. The information found has been classified into six sections, being the most important topics related to the care of the greens and the diseases that affect to the golf courses. The greenkeepers must look for a new ways of exploitation so that the golf courses are in perfect condition and are profitable for this type of organizations.
