Este artigo é fruto de uma dinâmica e experiências dos investigadores do Projeto de Pesquisa João Ubaldo da Baía de Todos os Santos e de Todos os Lugares. Ao analisar o contexto histórico em que está inserida a obra Diário do farol (2002), procurou-se enfatizar aspectos que auxiliam a compreender o regime de exceção da ditadura militar, sistema político brasileiro que existiu por mais de duas décadas. No romance Diário do farol, o escritor itaparicano João Ubaldo Ribeiro procura apresentar o narrador como sendo o próprio protagonista da história. Ele enfatiza o mundo a partir do olhar de um ex-torturador.
This article is the result of a dynamic and experience of researchers of the Research Project João Ubaldo of Bay of All Saints and All Places, that by analyzing the historical context in which it operates the Lighthouse Diary work, sought to emphasize aspects that help to understand the Brazilian political system that lasted more than two decades of its existence: the authoritarian regime of the military dictatorship. In the novel's Lighthouse Diary(2002), the itaparicano writer João Ubaldo Ribeiro, the narrator seeks to present himself as the protagonist of the story .
