Gonzalo Rojas, un místico corpóreo

    Gonzalo Rojas sonreía socarronamente al deinirse como un “místico concupiscente”, pero estaba diciendo la verdad. En su poesía se releja una experiencia trascendente del mundo que es inseparable del cuerpo. Y aunque se ha señalado una y otra vez la veta numinosa de su poesía, se ha profundizado poco en la naturaleza de la experiencia mística que la avivaba. ¿La poesía de Rojas es un conjunto de obras manieristas, de pensamiento místico, o se trata del relejo de una experiencia real y vital de unidad con el cosmos vinculada con el erotismo? Desde mi punto de vista, la obra del poeta chileno es la de un verdadero místico del cuerpo. En el presente estudio me gustaría profundizar en esa ilosofía de vida y sobre todo, en la experiencia viva y trascendente del mundo que la alimenta y está plasmada en sus letras.

    Gonzalo Rojas used to mockingly call himself a “lustful mystic”. Despite the laughter that accompanied this phrase, the poet was telling the truth. His erotic poetry relects a transcendent experience of the world of which the body is the main vehicle and protagonist. Although the numinous vein of his poetry has been repeatedly pointed out, research has deepened little in the quality of the mystical experience that precedes it. Is Rojastpoetry a collection of mannerist works of mystical thought, or is it the relection of a real and vital experience of oneness with the universe linked to eroticism? From my point of view, the work of this Chilean poet is that of a true mystic of the body. In this study I would like to deepen in the quality of that philosophy of life and above all, the living and transcendent experience of the world that is relected in his literature.
