    These two short notices concern the reliquary of the True Cross and its casket which were preserved in the abbey of the Holy Cross at Poitiers up until 1792. Only the central plaque decorated in cloisonné enamelling, a Constantinopolitan work of the second half of the XIth century, has corne down to us from the staurotheque in the form of a triptych. The casket, which once housed the reliquary and which has now disappeared, can be attributed to the school of Charles the Bald.

    Ces deux brèves notices ont pour objet le reliquaire de la Vraie Croix et son coffret, deux œuvres conservées jusqu'en 1792 à l'abbaye Sainte-Croix de Poitiers. De la staurothèque en forme de triptyque il ne reste aujourd'hui que la plaque centrale décorée en émail cloisonné, travail constantinopolitain de la deuxième moitié du XIe s. Le coffret qui abritait autrefois le reliquaire et qui a disparu depuis, peut être attribué à l'école de Charles le Chauve.
