La aparición de nuevos documentos en archivos y colecciones particulares revela aspectos desconocidos hasta ahora sobre la capilla del Alcázar de Segovia. Entre otros, el tipo de crucería de sus bóvedas góticas, su decoración interior y su evolución desde el reinado de Felipe II. Se ha podido constatar la existencia de oratorios privados utilizados por los reyes, por sus tenientes de alcaide e incluso por los presos de Estado encarcelados en la fortaleza. También se ha podido comprobar la dependencia eclesiástica de la fortaleza de la parroquia de la Catedral de Segovia, el nombre de muchos de sus capellanes así como las vestimentas litúrgicas y los objetos, alhajas y ornamentos para el culto.

The emergence of new documents in archives and private collections reveals hitherto unknown aspects of the chapel of the Alcazar of Segovia. Among others, the type of its Gothic ribbed vaults, its interior decoration and its evolution during the reign of Philip II. It has been found the existence of private oratories used by the kings, by their deputy fortress commandants and even by state prisoners incarcerated in the castle. It has also been verified the ecclesiastical dependence of the inhabitants of the Alcazar of the parish of the Cathedral of Segovia, and also found the names of many of his chaplains and the liturgical vestments and objects, jewellery and ornaments used for worship.
