    Esbozaremos el sentido de la aparición de las divinidades en nuestra historia y el de su configuración tanto masculina como femenina; veremos enseguida la relevancia de la capacidad genética como atribución esencial de la divinidad femenina. Para aclarar más específicamente ese aspecto genético de la diosa nos detendremos en el texto dramático Yerma, de Federico García Lorca. Partiendo del mismo intentaremos brevemente dilucidar: a) la capacidad propia de lo materno -esencia y dimensión de la misma- y su función insustituible en nuestra existencia;

    b) después de haber trazado los límites precisos de esa función, señalaremos su siempre posible curso negativo así como sus devastadoras consecuencias en el descendiente; c) nos ocupamos a continuación del eventual sobredimensionamiento de lo materno que daría lugar a su divinización. Para terminar, intentaremos mostrar el asomo de algunas manifestaciones de la divinización de lo materno en nuestra época.

    We will outline the meaning for the apparition of deities in our history and their masculine and feminine configuration.

    We will appreciate straight away the relevance of the genetic capability as the feminine deity's essential attribution. In order to clarify specifically this genetic aspect of the goddess, we will focus on a dramatic text titled Yerma, by Federico Garcia Lorca. Drawing from it we will try briefly to elucidate: a) the maternal capacity regarding its essence and dimension and its irreplaceable function in our existence; b) after drawing the limits of that function, we will indicate its possible negative course as well as the devastating consequences for the descendant;

    c) then, we will deal with the eventual overestimation of the maternal, that would give place to its divinisation.

    To conclude, we will try to trace the manifestation of the maternal divinisation of our times.
