Migrant homes are places that provide shelter and assistance to the migrant population, who generally do not have papers to travel through Mexico on their way to the United States and face various difficulties and violence.
How they work and how they are is part of the descriptive analysis that was carried out during the visit to about 10 shelters (migrant homes) in the south and north of the country. For this a narrative of qualitative sense was carried out, type ‘field diary'; In this way the researcher was a witness and listener of different subjects who attend the migratory phenomenon frontally to this was added the permission to enter facilities of different shelters. This narrative was divided into 3 parts: methodological experience; the description of the shelters rescuing generalities and particularities and finally an analysis by way of conclusion.
