Archaeological monitoring of the ground levelling work, the renovation of the slabs inside the church and the excavation of two ditches in the portico. The fact that these activities hardly disturbed the subsoil at all meant that none of the graves that are believed to extend all the way up the nave were affected. The most striking finding was the documentation of the grave cover used as a threshold in the entranceway. The element most likely pertains to the “old church” as it is known, the materials of which were reused in the construction of the current building.
