The season of excavations carried out during 2015 in the Salt Valley enabled the documentation of part of the Bronze-age rock salt production factory. In addition to waste material containing ceramic remains of the pots used for producing salt through flame-driven evaporation, a tray for containing salt water was also identified. A sondage was carried out in a zone with Neolithic stratification. Evidence of an in situ landfill stratum was found, with a depth of over 1 metre and containing abundant ceramic remains. The two points at which production was documented are located inside a chalkstone building formed by a fresh water spring which surfaces in the Salt Valley.
