Resumen de No interior de um Conselho Municipal de Educação: análise de um colegiado que se fez itinerante

The result of the research presented in this article shows the walk of a Municipal Coun- cil of Education, established in the city of Limeira, São Paulo, who sought an alternative differentiated so that the population could meet and participate in its work. In pursuit of this interest, the Council moved its headquarters to hold its meetings in schools located in the vicinity. The researcher followed the meetings of the college for two years, using the following instruments to collect data, the research of qualitative-quantitative approa- ch: research reports, minutes of meetings, legislation, questionnaires and semi-structured interview. The action of the Board demonstrated the ability of the school community has to contribute to the management of education, when there are conditions that favor their involvement and participation.

O resultado da pesquisa apresentada neste artigo explicita a atuação de um Conselho Municipal da Educação, instituído no município de Limeira, Estado de São Paulo, que buscou uma alternativa diferenciada para que a população pudesse conhecer e participar de seus trabalhos. Em busca dessa participação, o Conselho se deslocou de sua sede para realizar as suas reuniões em escolas localizadas na periferia. O pesquisador acompanhou as reuniões do colegiado durante dois anos, utilizando os seguintes instrumentos de coleta de dados, da pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa-quantitativa: relatórios de pesquisa, atas de reuniões, legislação, questionários e entrevista semiestruturada. A atuação do Conselho demonstrou a capacidade que a comunidade escolar possui de contribuir com a gestão da educação, quando há condições que favoreçam o seu envolvimento e a sua participação.
