  • Helm US, a subsidiary of Germany-based chemicals marketing company Helm AG, will market and distribute 50%, or up to 25,000 tpa, TiO[subscript]2 produced at Argex's plant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in Quebec, Canada.

    "This agreement, combined with the supply agreement with PPG Industries Inc., commits a significant quantity of the available capacity of Argex's first full scale TiO[subscript]2 production plant," Argex's CEO, Roy Bonnell, said.

    The Commission's approval is subject to the divestiture of Huntsman's TR52 business, which supplies the inks industry. The business represents around 30,000 tpa TiO[subscript]2 production with an annual EBITDA* of $5-10m.
