  • A number of buyers in Europe and Asia are planning to replenish inventories before the end of Q2 2014, which is expected to provide some relief to producers who continue to struggle under tight demand conditions.

    The average FOB price of Chinese acidspar, 97% CaF[subscript]2, wet filtercake, fell again in June to $310/tonne, representing a 6% decrease on prices at the start of Q2.

    Meanwhile, prices of acidspar, 97% CaF2, dry filtercake, FOB, Durban, South Africa continue to fluctuate between $310 and $340/tonne, as African producers attempt to compete with these low Chinese prices.
