  • Resumen
    • "I think everyone in the lithium industry will view the Tesla announcement as positive. We believe we could be in a position to supply the Gigafactory as much as anyone else in this industry does," [Jean-Francois Meilleur] told IM.

"We are positioning ourselves for every end user," Meilleur said. "We believe that the glass and ceramics industry is a robust market with little competition, so this is definitely an option for us, especially with the recent closure of the Tanco Mine operated by Cabot. With our low iron spodumene concentrate we meet the industry requirement for this high value per tonne market," Meilleur added.

"CAPEX is really the only thing holding us back from entering production as we have a large resource that is located in a non-conflict area with all infrastructures available. The lithium carbonate quality is exceptional and we have demonstrate that we can produce it at a lower cost. It also has a low iron content and its geological formation makes it easier for us to extract the lithium - reducing overall costs," Meilleur told IM.
