El periodista de planta de un periódico tradicional y el cronista freelance que escribe para las revistas especializadas construyen sus textos a partir de lo real. Sus procedimientos de trabajo, en cambio, son distintos. ¿Qué marca esa diferencia? Sus rutinas de trabajo, las formas de elaborar sus textos son variadas. La mirada de ambos profesionales es diferente, porque ni los tiempos de labores son los mismos ni los recursos de escritura son iguales. Se trata de aspectos relevantes que definen el producto periodístico final. En este artículo estos aspectos los estudiamos con el enfoque teórico del Newsmaking.
