  • The article studies the understanding of synodality within the Orthodox Church in the light of the existing theological tradition, namely the concept of Eucharistic conciliarity and the role of the Bishop in guarantying the Church's unity, at a local and universal level. It focuses on the magisterial authority of the Orthodox Council of Crete and its reception by the Orthodox pleroma: reception through a general consensual procedure or immediate acceptance of the Council's teachings through communional integration in Church's life
