Resumen de Lévinas e Adorno – apontamentos sobre uma “filosofia judaica”

Jewish thought is a thought of urgency, not of any urgency: of ethical urgency. This dimension will meet and unite, despite countless differences and particularities, the speculative constructions throughout the history of Jewish wisdom that the past bequeathed us and, in the contemporary times, specifically in the tumultuous twentieth century. With this text, we intend to proceed to a rather synthetic analysis of the cultural encounter between the thoughts classified roughly as of Greek and Jewish matrix, from a brief examination of two Levinas texts: the famous "La Bible et les Grecs" and the preface to Difficile liberté. In the end, after this historical-philosophical Levinasian errand, we want to rediscover Adorno and his ever-recurrent proposition, trying to infer what "Jewish philosophy" means in terms of radical ethical-philosophical demand, in the present time.

O pensamento judaico é um pensamento da urgência, e não de qualquer urgência: da urgência ética. Essa dimensão vai reunir e unir, apesar das incontáveis diferenças e particularidades, as construções especulativas ao longo da história da sabedoria judaica que o passado nos legou e, na contemporaneidade, especificamente no tumultuoso século XX. Com este texto pretendemos proceder a uma análise bastante sintética do encontro cultural entre os pensamentos classificados grosso modo como de matriz grega e judaica, a partir de um breve exame de dois textos de Levinas: o famoso “La Bible et les Grecs” e o prefácio a Difficile liberté. Ao fim e ao cabo, pretendemos, após esta errância histórico-filosófica levinasiana, reencontrar Adorno e sua proposição sempre recorrente, tentando inferir o que significa a “filosofia judaica” em termos de demanda ético-filosófica radical, na hora presente.
