This article defends the idea of liberal neutrality in politics, replying to Michele Bocchiola's article "Neutrality of Politics, Partiality of Reasons". I proceed as follows: in the section 1, I sum up the content of my book "La neutralità necessaria" and Bocchiola's criticisms; in the section 2, I reply to the example challenging the idea that of neutrality about the teachers' dress code on public school; in the section 3 I explain why, contrary to what Bocchiola says, reasons can be impartial and neutrality can be justifyied not only from a prudential point of view.
