  • After having furnished a concise presentation of the legal model of emergency, the article examines the evolution of the security - human rights relationship between the 20th and the 21st century, concentrating on the specific «economic state of exception» introduced by the 2012 constitutional revision which modified Art. 81 of the Italian Constitution.
