Resumen de The memory code. (cover story)

Joe Z. Tsien

  • This article reports on the research of the human mind and how it lays down memories. Researchers found that some of the "neural cliques" in the mouse hippocampus represent abstract and general information while others indicate selective features. Conversion of recordings of clique activity into binary code could create a foundation for assembling a codebook of the mind. This tool for cataloging thoughts and experiences may lead to the ability to share thoughts between people. INSETS: KEY CONCEPTS;A SEAT OF MEMORY;WHAT'S NEXT?;ON HUMAN MIND READING
