  • The article discusses the laboratory growth of human embryonic stem cells called hemangioblasts. Researchers at Advanced Cell Technology grew the cells which developed blood forming tissue and blood vessels. Rats with diseases and injuries impairing blood flow showed a higher chance of surviving heart injuries when injected with the hemangioblasts.
