  • The article discusses the discovery of the planet most resembling Earth outside of the solar system. The planet orbits the red dwarf star Gliese 581 and is five times the size of Earth. The planet's temperatures could vary from zero to forty degrees Celsius. Stephane Udry and his team from the Observatory of Geneva made the discovery. Udry comments that the distance between the planet and the star may permit the existence of liquid water on the planet's surface.
