This article explores research in chronic inflammation. Cancer researchers have found that a developing tumor can commandeer the immune system's inflammatory component which would normally be part of the wound healing process and use it to foster carcinogenesis. Using this information, a new generation of anti-inflammatory drugs may be added to traditional chemotherapy to keep tumors localized.
