  • This article reports on new security systems that will be able to temporarily disable digital cameras by taking advantage of their retroreflective nature. The system, developed at the Georgia Institute of Technology, uses light beams and cameras to scan areas for retroreflective dots matching sensors and shape and then flash a beam directly at those sensors, overwhelming them.
