  • This article discusses various shapes formed by water that is rotated at different speed and different levels. Danish researchers discovered that when the bottom of a bucket of water was rotated at different speeds the water adopted trefoil, square, and pentagonal shapes, in contrast to the round vortex created when the entire bucket was spun.
