The purpose of this article is to analyse the Spanish translation carried out by Alfredo Adolfo Camús (ca. 1817-1889) of St. Basil the Great’s Address to Young Men from two standpoints: the place of Camús’ translation in the context of the humanistic Hispanic tradition and the source texts used by the author and the reasons for his choice.
