    A puppy suffering from mandibular brachygnathism, partially corrected by a coronal reduction of both mandibular deciduous canine teeth at 2 and a half months of age, was successfully treated at 7 months os age by orthodontic correction using resin slip plates. This technique avoids coronal reduction or removal of permanent canines, which are very invasive methods that may affect the future life of the puppy. It consists of layering and resizing resin plates allowing the canine teeth to slide to their physiological position. Aesthetic and functional integrity can thus be permanently restored.

    Un chiot atteint d'un brachygnathisme mandibulaire, partiellement corrigé par une réduction coronaire des deux canines mandibulaires de lait à 2 mois et demi, est traité avec succès à 7 mois par correction orthodontique de type pose de plans de glissement en résine. Cette technique évite la réduction coronaire ou l'extraction des canines définitives, méthodes très invasives et pouvant altérer la vie future du chiot. Elle consiste en la pose et la taille de résine permettant aux canines de glisser jusqu'à leur position physiologique. L'intégrité esthétique et fonctionnelle peut ainsi être définitivement rétablie.
