This article discusses research into the astrogeology of Enceladus, a moon orbiting Saturn. Evidence from the Voyager Two and Cassini missions of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration indicating the presence of underground fluids and geological activity is considered. Measurements of the chemical characteristics of plumes emerging from the south pole of the satellite are noted.
